DRIFT - Workshop : Urban Futurs (Sweden)

URBAN FUTURES: GOALS, IMPACTS AND AFTERLIFE OF INNOVATIVE SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES IN CITIES

Join an international workshop at Lund University (Sweden) with speakers from the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands and France on urban futures focusing on the goals, impacts and afterlife for innovative sustainable initiatives in cities.

Prof. Harriet Bulkeley from Durham University in the UK, and author of books on Cities and Climate Change and Transnational Climate Change Governance, will present on cities and climate governance. Dr. Niki Frantzeskaki from the Dutch Research Institute for Transitions in the Netherlands will present on experiences and lessons from urban sustainability transitions.

Further speakers will present on projects and examples in Europe, including: Region 27 – A Laboratory of New Public Policies in the Digital Age; the WWF Earth Hour City Challenge; the Governance of Urban Sustainability Transitions (GUST) project; the Towards New Forms of Urban Governance and City Development (URB@EXP) project; and Triangulum: The Three Point Project to Demonstrate, Disseminate and Replicate.
